Private Health Insurance
Many Health Insurance providers provide varying levels of coverage for hearing services and more commonly for hearing aids varying from $400 to approximately $1600 for hearing aids. These rebates can be different if you choose one or two hearing aids, have maximum limits and have different claiming cycles (eg. you may be able to claim each year or every 3 years). It is important to contact your health insurance provider to see if your health insurance plan includes any provision for both ‘Audiology Services’ and ‘Hearing Aids’ and to ask about the conditions and processes for claiming as these vary amongst providers.
